Rooftop Index is an independent record of the installers empanelled on India's PM Surya Ghar rooftop-solar scheme. We publish what the government published, plus arithmetic, plus the date we read it. We do not rate installers and we do not verify them.

Why it exists

A household applying for the rooftop-solar subsidy is given a district list of empanelled installers and no way to tell them apart. The same portal already publishes the missing information — per-district installation counts — but never next to the list. Putting the two together takes one join and changes what the list means.

What it is not

• It is not a review site. There are no ratings here and there will not be.
• It is not a government service. Rooftop Index is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of India, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, or the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
• It is not a lead-generation page dressed as a directory. Where we sell something, it will say so on the page it is sold on.
